Smells good enough to eat! Beeswax, aside from the sweet-smelling and nutritive qualities, is high in materials that are unsaponifiable, or cannot be turned into soap. These unsaponified materials make the soap harder, less lathery and more creamy and moisturizing. In addition, raw honey is a wonderful additive to soap due to its power as a humectant--it attracts and draws moisture from the air and retains it against the skin. Importantly, we use raw honey straight from our beehives so as to retain all the good stuff, like the pollen and phytonutrients (the substances in honey that provide the antioxidant and antimicrobial power). Store bought honey is usually pasturized and micro-filtered, which removes all the pollen and the phytonutrients. There have also been some studies that show most store bought honey is watered down and has artificial sweeteners. Not good!

Watch as we jar raw honey from our hives.
